Legal Knowledge::Educational Services-Ex-student not a consumer

It was alleged that the petitioner appeared in the examination LLB II Year as an ex-student as per old syllabus but he was made to answer one of the papers in Criminal Law as per new syllabus by the opposite parties. State Commission was of the view that University does not render any service for consideration in the matter of conducting examination/evaluating the papers and declaring the results and petitioner was, thus, not a consumer. As such, complaint was dismissed. Regards Team, Legal Point Foundation
