Supreme Court reprimanded the central government regarding the cowin app/website, saying – you are not aware of the ground reality

The Central Government has claimed in the Supreme Court that by the end of this year, all adults of the country above the age of 18 years, will be vaccinated. The government told the Supreme Court that since January, five percent people have had both doses of corona. Although many experts say that by the end of this year only 30-40 percent of the population can be vaccinated.

At the same time, the Supreme Court reprimanded the Central Government on ‘Digital India’ and said that you keep saying Digital India, Digital India, but are not aware of the ground reality. Questioning the mandatory registration on the cowin App/website(https://www.cowin.gov.in/home) to get the Covid-19 vaccine, a bench of Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice L Nageswara Rao and Justice I Ravindra Bhat told the central government that all people have to register on cowin App/website for the vaccine. is. Is it realistically possible for people from rural areas to start registering on this app? How do you expect them to do this?

Justice Chandrachud told the central government that you keep saying that the situation is dynamic but you have to see the real situation. You keep saying Digital India, Digital India, but you are not aware of the ground reality.

Justice Chandrachud also said, “Digital literacy in India is far from completion. I am the chairman of the e-committee. I have seen problems that suffer from this. You have to be flexible and you need to understand the ground reality.”

Justice Chandrachud also told the government that we are not changing the policy. We are asking you to please wake up and smell the coffee and see what is happening across the country.
