The
e-committee of the Supreme Court has released a manual for its free e-court
service mobile app. This application has been downloaded more than 57 lakh
times
For better access the manual is released in the 14 languages i.e. English, Hindi,
Assamese, Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Odia,
Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
The
mobile app and its manual can be downloaded in English and regional languages
from the e-committee, the official website of the Supreme Court. The manual
has been released by Justice Dhananjay Y. Chandrachud, Chairman of the SC e-Committee.
He said on the release of this free and citizen-centric mobile app, ‘Over the
past year, the epidemic has led advocates, judges and litigants to adopt
high-tech solutions due to lockdowns and the closure of offices and courts in
the light of public health concerns.’
One
can search various citizen-centric services such as case number, CNR number,
filing number, party name, FIR number, advocate details, act etc. by using the
e-court service mobile application. A complete case history of the case can be
obtained from filing to disposal, including a date-wise case diary. One can
know the order through mobile app, details of case transfer, status of interim
application. With the e-court service mobile application, one can get the
details of the cases of High Court and District Courts. With ‘My Case’ anyone
can add a personal case number and get automatic updates.
