About the Organisation
The
Centre for Health Equity, Law and Policy (C-HELP) is a new initiative of the
Indian Law Society, Pune. It aims to advance and improve health delivery,
access and outcomes through the creation, sharing and use of knowledge on
health-related law and policy as informed by India’s constitutional framework,
and her international commitments including the Sustainable Development Goals.
About the Internship
Interns
will be expected to assist with research for and development of knowledge
products on matters related to health, law and policy. The current public
health crisis in India has resulted in many policy and legal developments, and
interns can expect to work on these emerging issues. They will have the
opportunity to learn about the policy and legal frameworks governing health in
India.
Number of Interns Required
C-HELP
is currently looking for two interns.
Location
Interns
will be working remotely and therefore can be based anywhere. Interns will be
expected to be available online during the working hours of the organisation.
Who can Apply?
Law
students (from the three-year or five-year law course) who are interested and
motivated to work on health, law and rights are encouraged to apply to C-HELP.
At the minimum, applicants should have completed three years of study in the
five-year integrated law course, and two years of study in the three-year
programme. Good research, analytical and writing skills and a working knowledge
of English are necessary attributes.
C-HELP
follows a strict non-discrimination policy and encourages students from all

Stipend
The
internship will be unpaid.
Duration of Internship
The
internship will be for a period of six to eight weeks on a full-time basis.
